Bixby Knolls/California Heights Charitable Giving Fund

DEADLINE: All applications must be received on or before 5 PM on Monday, September 30, 2019.

The Bixby Knolls Charitable/California Heights Giving Fund was created with fines paid by airlines who have violated noise restrictions at the Long Beach Airport. These charitable dollars can be used to fund programs and projects that benefit residents located within the Bixby Knolls/California Heights flight path area.

The available grant amount for 2019 is $1,070.

501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, schools or government institutions that are in or serve the affected flight path area are encouraged to apply for grants from this fund. 

A complete application will include filling out the following four grant application sections and attaching the three documents described below.

Please include the following three required supporting documents, your Letter of Intent will be incomplete without them. PDF files are the only acceptable file type.

  • a) A list of the organization’s governing body and its officers showing business, professional, and community affiliations.
  • b) A budget narrative that explains the major expenses with the project.
  • c) A signed letter from the CEO, President, or Executive Director of the 501(c)(3) organization demonstrating their support of the grant application.
    (As a potential grantee of this grant, please be aware of the following. Submission of this proposal indicates your organization’s permission for LBCF staff and Board to review the proposal. Materials submitted to LBCF as part of the proposal process will be used as LBCF deems appropriate. They are not subject to any right of confidentiality unless specifically agreed to in writing by LBCF.)
