Designated in 1988 through an estate gift from Jack L. Fennie, the Fennie Community Fund awards grants for broad and general charitable purposes with a preference to children’s organizations in the communities of Avalon and Long Beach.
HOW TO APPLY?
The online application process for the Fennie Community Fund requires completion of the online Letter of Intent (below) with required attachments. Successful candidates whose Letter of Intent is highly aligned with the grant purpose may be asked to submit additional information or schedule an interview. Submissions are due no later than 5 pm on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
Grants will be awarded based on the program qualifications outlined in the submission and selected by the Board-appointed Grants Selection Committee. The Committee will review submitted Letters of Intent, select successful candidates, and make recommendations for funding appropriate projects. The expected announcement of awards will be made in August 2020.
Grants will be awarded between $5,000 and $10,000.
