The Press-Telegram on Sunday, May 1, launched its 23rd annual Send-a-Kid-to-Camp fund campaign. For more than two decades now, generous donors area have been digging into their wallets and purses to help hundreds of youth from low-income families enjoy a week at a summer camp in the Southern California mountains.
The Long Beach Community Foundation has managed this fund since the beginning and has facilitated the over $1.5 million dollars donated to support kids attending camp.
