Donor Advised Fund Guidelines
With your donor advised fund, you can support any 501(c)(3) public charity in the US, including governmental, educational, and religious institutions. Rest assured that the Long Beach Community Foundation (LBCF) will exercise due diligence to make sure grants from your fund are given to organizations that have met 501(c)(3) IRS requirements.
In some cases, LBCF may need to contact you and/or the suggested grant recipient for additional information before approving the grant.
For more information on what types of grants are allowed from your DAF, download the Donor Advised Fund Guidelines here.

Requesting a Distribution From Your Agency Fund
There are two basic types of distributions for agency fund holders:
Annual Distribution: By March of every year, LBCF staff will reach out to eligible agency fund holders informing them of the process and amount of their annual distribution. The process of the agency fund holder choosing to take or reinvest this annual distribution is managed by authorized fund advisors in the LBCF grants portal.
Non-Annual Distribution: The amount and frequency of this distribution depend on the type of agency fund established and the terms of the initial fund agreement. The process of requesting a non-annual distribution is made by contacting LBCF Grants and Administration Manager, Issis Vargas.
